General information
El Salvador’s micro and small enterprises (MSEs) are a very
important sector with high participation in the economy, playing
a dominant role in generating employment and fighting poverty.
Aiming to contribute to the development of this sector, ASEI
established its Credit Program in 1993, and from then until now
has been committed to being an efficient and profitable
financial intermediary.
Our program is directed to the micro enterprise sector,
considering one-person production units up
to 10 employees including the owner.
Our sponsors, our regional offices and our community banks make
it possible for ASEI’s services to reach the 14 departments
nationwide.
